Job summary

A reputable engineering supplier in Shepshed is seeking an Inventory Controller to join their friendly team. In this role, you will manage stock levels, support purchasing and warehouse teams, and engage with customers to provide excellent service. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial supplies and a forklift licence. This position offers a starting salary of up to £30,000 with a Monday to Friday work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lean warehouse principles is highly valued.

Inventory Controller Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining stock levels, through stock takes and stock audits.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure stock availability and minimise shortages.
  • Engagement with members of the public and potential clients ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Support efficient goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accurate booking and labelling procedures.
Inventory Controller Experience:
  • Experience within industrial supplies, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean warehouse principles.
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
