Job description

We are currently working with a reputable health membership body helping them recruit for an Interim Head of Communications and Marketing. This is a 12-month fixed term contract starting mid-October time. Please get in touch if this sounds interesting.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Leading the operations and management helping develop the organisations communications and marketing functions
• Ensuring marketing and communications is based on audience insight and evaluated against key metrics
• Lead the planning and delivery of proactive and responsive marketing and communications across all channels – earned, owned and paid
• Identify and manage reputational risks, advising on and enacting mitigation strategies
• Be a proactive and collaborative member of the directorate, embodying the organisations values and leading by example
• Support on commercial development and opportunities for promotion, including contribution to competitor analysis, assessments of best practice, and future opportunities
• Provide strategic messaging for comms and campaigns leading from the front.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• Worked with a health membership or similar environment
• Excellent experience of stakeholder engagement (internal and external)
• Strong writing skills
• Experience in managing corporate communications, including media relations, overseeing digital communications, including website content, email marketing, social media strategy and use of analytics to drive engagement.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract paying up to £69,000 with a hybrid working policy in London (40% over the month)
