Interim Group Finance Manager (with potential permanent opportunity) - Hayle / Hybrid - £50-60,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively assigned by a long-standing client operating in the hospitality sector, considered a market leader in their field. The business is seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to join as soon as possible. The role can be full-time or part-time (30 hours/week), initially on an interim basis (minimum 8 weeks), with potential to apply for a permanent position.

The role is based at the company’s headquarters in Hayle, with scope for hybrid working—details to be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Working closely with a highly experienced CEO (and acting CFO), and managing a team of seven finance colleagues, this pivotal role involves overseeing daily financial control for a group of entities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assuming responsibility for all accounting protocols and internal controls
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards
  • Implementing ongoing improvements to the finance function
  • Acting as a key contact for external stakeholders and major suppliers
  • Producing and delivering detailed management accounts
  • Managing the payroll function (not administration)
  • Liaising with investors and internal stakeholders

We seek a dynamic, energetic, and down-to-earth Finance Manager with a proven track record. Candidates should be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified through vocational experience, with a solid background in supervising staff, preparing financial and management reports, and up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and budget controls. Leadership qualities are essential.
