A public sector organisation in London is seeking a motivated Interim Assistant Director of Governance. This role involves providing oversight and assurance for governance, risk, compliance, and audit functions. Applicants should have senior-level experience in governance with strong communication skills. The position offers a salary of up to £82k per annum and follows a hybrid work model of 1–2 days a week.
An exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced governance professional to take on a senior leadership role within a complex public sector organisation in West London (hybrid 1–2 days a week).
Position: Interim Assistant Director of Governance
As Assistant Director - Governance, you'll provide oversight and assurance across governance, risk, compliance, and audit functions, working closely with senior leaders, boards, and auditors.
A key focus of the role is developing and embedding a robust governance framework that will leave a lasting legacy, ensuring statutory compliance and driving a culture of accountability and transparency throughout the organisation. This role also includes managing and mentoring a small team, strengthening capability, and ensuring governance supports effective decision-making across all levels of the organisation.
