A community health provider organization is looking for a dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their North Kerrier inpatient therapy team. This role requires providing high-quality physiotherapy, leading junior staff, and actively participating in service development. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience in various medical fields, coupled with strong leadership skills. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Kerrier inpatient therapy team working as a specialist Band 6 Physiotherapist on the Community Assessment and Treatment Unit (CATU).
The post is 37.5 hours per week. The service currently operates 7 days a week, and you will be required to work one weekend day in a 4 week period, with a week day off in lieu.
The team treats a wide range of conditions including COPD, frailty, falls, delirium, dementia, neurology and orthopaedics. You will work closely with Team Leads, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Support workers. You will be part of a wider CATU multidisciplinary team including Doctors, Nurses, Activity Coordinators, Health Care Assistants and Administrators.
There will be opportunities for outreach visits into the community to follow up patients, and you may be required to support the community rehab team at times.
We encourage continuous learning and development, and are supportive of training opportunities both internally and externally. We deliver a monthly IST and have regular team meetings, supervision and appraisals.
