Cutting Edge Music Tech – IT Systems Engineer

We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to help us redefine the music industry. As the company has invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost, the role will support reliable day‑to‑day operations across our various sites.

This mid‑level position is suited to someone with solid technical experience who wants to broaden their skills across networking, servers, storage, security, and user support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine system administration (updates, backups, patches, monitoring).
  • Assist in maintaining the stability of the production IT infrastructure and escalated issues as required.
  • Contribute to implementing and maintaining data storage solutions (cloud and on‑prem).
  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, hardware, and software.
  • Follow established security policies, ensuring patching, antivirus, endpoint protection and access control best practices.
  • Monitor system alerts and report vulnerabilities to senior IT staff.
  • Act as first and second‑line support for staff IT issues (hardware, software, accounts, connectivity).
  • Inventory and asset management of the existing environment and new equipment.
  • Manage desk and hot‑desk environments, owning the user support processes.
  • Support onboarding of new staff (accounts, hardware, access rights) and manage software/subscription licences.
  • Escalate complex technical issues appropriately.
  • Support desktop environment upgrades and IT improvement projects.
  • Document IT processes and standard operating procedures for future scaling.
  • Contribute ideas for improving reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Work closely with other teams to resolve IT issues in a professional and collaborative manner.
Qualifications
  • Mid‑level experience in IT systems administration, networking, server and storage management.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Windows, Linux, virtualisation, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and backup solutions.
  • Experience with security fundamentals: patching, antivirus/endpoint protection, access control.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and applications.
  • Strong communication skills and service‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to document processes, SOPs and support procedures.
