Job description
IT Infrastructure Engineer – 5 days a week in the office in Northamptonshire (essential) – work some weekends

Purpose of the role is to deliver new technologies that support a best‑of‑breed ethos, deliver new innovations to question conventional thinking and improve capabilities of the IT department, lead by example as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics, manage stakeholders within IT and the business while delivering complex projects, and deliver exceptional customer service to a consistent high standard.

We need you to

Have experience of
  • Delivering exceptional customer service under pressure
  • Operational support at a senior technical level within a medium‑to‑large sized enterprise
  • Supporting and diagnosing enterprise WAN and LAN infrastructure
  • Planning, organising, leading and delivering complex, fast‑moving workloads with both internal and external 3rd‑party resources
  • Working to recognised methodologies such as ITIL, Agile
  • Having a broad range of technical experience within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training and documentation
Demonstrate knowledge of
  • Enterprise application, middleware, and infrastructure technologies
  • Managing and deploying to cloud platforms
  • Database support, administration and optimisation
  • Scripting, orchestration and automation techniques
  • Capacity, performance and availability monitoring
  • Security, vulnerability and malware threat prevention
  • Desirable: Working in F1/Racing/Superbikes or equivalent business
  • Desirable: Testbed and simulation platforms
Hold these qualifications
  • Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject
  • Hard skills: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

The role requires the ability to deliver on both operational and project activities against deadlines and SLAs. Thus, flexibility is essential – you may need to provide out‑of‑hours maintenance and support on a best‑effort basis.
