Job Description Summary

The Project Engineer Industrialization Projects will be responsible for project management planning executing and delivering industrialization and sustaining engineering projects within Grid Automations manufacturing units. This role supports the successful introduction of new products (NPI) lifecycle support (LCS) and critical industrialization initiatives. The Project Engineer will coordinate cross‐functional stakeholders to ensure on‑time on‑budget project delivery while driving continuous improvement in quality processes and lead times.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead / support the delivery of industrialization NPI and sustaining engineering projects in alignment with business initiatives and requirements.
  • Act autonomously to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consult senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions / parameters.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans schedules budgets and resource allocation plans for assigned projects.
  • Support activities for smooth project execution such as production support ECO workflow field issue resolution supplier engagement and cost‑out initiatives.
  • Collaborate with R&D Test Engineering Quality Sourcing Procurement Master Data and Manufacturing teams to drive seamless industrialization and product transitions.
  • Monitor project progress proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to meet scope schedule and budget. Escalate as needed.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for assigned projects ensuring effective communication and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Work on initiatives assigned for implementation of SAFe Lean Kaizen and Simplification to accelerate time‑to‑market and enhance efficiency.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and provide regular reporting and updates to key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • Project management experience in manufacturing product development or industrialization environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile / SAFe methodologies and tools (JIRA Confluence SAP MFM).
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
  • Experience and familiarity with power systems grid automation or protection relays.
  • Knowledge of electronic PCBA design manufacturing processes and transition into production.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across global teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills (Lean / Six Sigma preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude toward change continuous improvement and driving results.
  • Self learner and tech savvy with familiarity to use AI tools.
