Role: Industrial Assembly Engineer
Location: Broughton, Flintshire – fully onsite
Hours: 35 per week
Clearance: BPSS required before starting
Hourly Rate: Up to £37.02 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you'll be doing
- Deployment and support of Drilling & Fastening equipment (Semi-Automated and manual).
- Defining new equipment and developing new drilling and fastening assembly processes.
- Project managing and providing technical support to existing machinery.
- Implementing continuous improvement projects into the wing manufacturing processes.
- Interfacing with internal customers, support functions, transnational counterparts, and external suppliers.
- Delivery of projects and support related to semi-automated and manual drilling and fastening equipment (ADU & ABE).
- Developing, documenting, and supporting productivity improvements with ME communities and customers.
- Management of Continuous Improvement and EHS Projects.
- Providing Methods and Process technical support to the manufacturing operations department.
- Managing major Capital investment projects and leading multi-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
Requirements
- Good technical background in shop floor processes, preferably drilling or fastening.
- Good understanding of the wing build process.
- Understanding and knowledge of drilling and fastening processes within a manufacturing setting.
- Fluent English at negotiation level (commercial and technical).
- Knowledge of Google office-based applications (Sheets, Slides, GMail, etc.).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of cross-functional working.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well‑organised, rigorous, and attention to detail.
- Strong team player/leader with self‑motivation.
- Stakeholder management, organisational, and multitasking skills.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering is desirable.
