Welwyn Hatfield is looking to recruit an Independent Living Service Manager to oversee our Independent Living Service and ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and compliant sheltered housing service to over 2500 residents.

The role oversees the delivery of effective landlord and support services within schemes and in the community ensuring delivery of cost effective and customer focused service which enables older and vulnerable people in the community to live, fulfilling, healthy and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be required to act as strategic lead to ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient and compliant Independent Living service. You will develop and help deliver the objectives of the Transformation Plan for Independent Living.
  • You will drive the change programme, identify opportunities and translate these into deliverables, with clear improvement outcomes.
  • You will review and update policies and procedures and ensure that these are communicated to staff and applied consistently throughout the service.
  • You will ensure that the services provided meet legislation and regulatory requirements and reflect best practice and always deliver excellent customer care.
  • Strive to positively promote resident involvement and community development and contribute to the council's corporate objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • The candidate must have experience of working in supported housing and or delivering independent living services at a senior level.
  • We are looking for a strong leader to help reshape the services of the team and therefore experience in change management is essential.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
