Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living are now recruiting for an Inclusive Living Disability Adviser!

Inclusive Living Disability Adviser

Location: We have two positions, one in Kirkintilloch (Fixed Term Contract – 12 Months) and one in Hamilton (Permanent)!

Salary: £27,234 per annum, FTE + Excellent Benefits!

Contract: 1 x 25 hours per week FTC (12 Months) in Kirkintilloch and 1 x 35 hours per week Permanent in Hamilton

Benefits: 25 days annual leave increasing to 30 days after 5 years (pro-rata for part time staff), 12 ½ public holidays, 6% Pension contribution and Group Life Insurance!

Responsibilities
  • Provide information, guidance, and support to people in receipt of Direct Payments (DPs), the Independent Living Fund (ILF), or Individual Budgets (IBs).
  • Help individuals assess their needs, explore options, and put support arrangements in place.
  • Support people with planning, financial monitoring paperwork, and recruiting/managing their own staff where needed.
  • Liaise with other organisations and provide referrals to ensure service users get the right support.
  • Deliver advice and training to individuals, families, and carers on self-directed support.
  • Promote awareness of independent living through talks, presentations, and meetings.
