Job description

Overview

Boots, Aldi and Lidl. This role involves maintaining the standards of the yard, removing waste from the factory, unloading chemicals, using compactors, completing stock counts and general housekeeping duties. The position is available year‑round in an outdoor environment. You will be exposed to the elements, although suitable clothing will be provided.

Reporting to the hygiene team leader, you will be responsible for health and safety as well as hygiene of your area. The role also includes forklift inspections and pre‑start checks. A valid FLT licence is not required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day duties in the yard.
• Comply with health and safety company policy.
• Complete all safety checks including forklift and yard/compactor checks and start‑ups.
• Unload vehicles, decant and transport chemicals following all chemical safety rules.
• Clean the site yard area, including under compactor and around skips/compactors.
• Drive all forklifts within the guidelines and training.
• Report incidents or accidents using the correct escalation procedure.

• Basic level of maths required.
