Qualifications

The Hydrogen Technologies Test Engineer will collaborate with the research, development, and applications engineering teams and will be part of the ongoing development of the test facility. They will have responsibility for well-defined projects aimed at improving the reliability, flexibility and overall capabilities for the testing group which provides a valued contribution to the development of CCM products for the Hydrogen Technologies business.

The role
As a Test Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
  • Effectively build test samples from CCMs supplied and carry out appropriate documented checks before, during, and after testing
  • Successfully operate a number of test stands to an agreed schedule to evaluate CCM performance and durability
  • Effectively process the test data and liaise with other functions to interpret the results and help develop the scientific understanding of the tested component
  • Management, maintenance and calibration of test stands
  • Develop and implement new internal or external test requirements (new test equipment, new technique and / or protocol)
Key skills / qualifications that will help you succeed in this role
  • Degree in an Engineering / Scientific discipline or proven laboratory experience (Qualified by Experience)
  • Computer literacy, including a sound knowledge of MS Excel and coding
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Accurate data interpretation and presentation
  • Able to accurately work to defined procedures and to organise their own work schedules
