Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations across civil engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH General Certificate, experience in HSEQ roles, and strong communication skills. The role involves delivering audits, producing HSEQ reports, supporting project start-ups, and promoting a strong safety culture. A full UK driving license is essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a HSEQ role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HSEQ support and guidance across all areas of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with current Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation.
  • Lead or support accident, incident and near‑miss investigations.
  • Develop, maintain and audit the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
  • Deliver site inspections, audits and monitoring programmes.

Skills

Strong problem solving and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT literate – Microsoft Office

Education

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
Grad IOSH Membership with active CPD
ISO Internal Auditor qualification
Environmental qualification (IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities or NVQ Level 2/3)
