The role is responsible for supporting Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) activities within offices of the organization to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment. This involves supporting management in different activities, including implementing HSE policies and procedures, tracking relevant laws and regulations, and conducting regular risk assessments. In these terms, the role entails collaborating during the design and installation of machinery and equipment, and supporting the implementation of programs to minimize environmental impact, as well as programs to minimize environmental impact. Lastly, the role requires assisting in organizing employee training sessions, investigating workplace accidents, preparing relevant documentation for public authorities, and tracking KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of HSE activities, providing reports to management.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the specific needs and risks of organization's manufacturing plants.
- Assists in tracking relevant HSE laws, regulations, and standards to ensure the organization's manufacturing plants environment remain compliant and identify potential regulatory risks.
- Supports regular risk assessments for the plant of responsibility to identify potential hazards like chemical spills, exposure to toxins, fire hazards associated with flammable materials, and risks related to operating heavy machinery, and assists in the development of procedures to mitigate these risks.
- Works with relevant teams during the design, purchasing, and installation of machines and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
- Supports the implementation of environmental and energy initiatives and programs to minimize environmental impact within organization's manufacturing plants.
- Assists with the editing and updating of local working instructions and procedures, ensuring compliance through periodic inspections and immediate updates as needed.
- Assists with the organization of regular training sessions for employees on HSE protocols within the plant of responsibility, including handling hazardous materials, confined space entry procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Assists with investigations of workplace accidents or incidents by gathering information and supporting root causes analysis.
- Prepares and maintains necessary HSE documentation for external agencies, firms, government bodies, and other relevant entities.
- Keeps track of KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of HSE activities within the plant of responsibility, providing reports with key insights and information to management.
