Overview
Health & Safety Advisor (HSE Advisor). Field-based role covering the Midlands to the North (occasional visits to Canary Wharf office and other UK sites). Up to £48,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits. Immediate Start.
The Role
- Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and contractor reviews.
- Support and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE training sessions and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
- Review project HSE documentation and contractor RAMS.
- Drive HSE improvement initiatives across projects.
- Promote a proactive, positive safety culture through engagement and communication.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
About You
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
- Proven experience in a health & safety advisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice.
- Utilities industry experience (desirable).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
- Detail-oriented and proactive.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to influence and engage with contractors.
- Calm under pressure and capable of handling sensitive situations.
