Overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your HR career and make an impact at one of the leading energy network operators in the UK? We are looking for an HR Operations Manager to join UK Power Networks and lead a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in people management and employee experience. This permanent role will see you working from our London, Crawley, or Bury St Edmunds offices, with the flexibility to blend office and remote working after your probation.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of HR Operations and manage a team of 13 HR Advisors across the operational footprint to deliver high-quality HR advisory services.
  • Resolve employment cases efficiently in line with company policies, procedures, and employment law; conduct accurate employee administration; ensure advisory activities meet high standards.
  • Analyse HR data and the nature and frequency of employment cases to help line managers pro-actively reduce issues.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliant HR policies and procedures that reflect our Vision and Values.
  • Act as a technical lead for new employment legislation, overseeing necessary changes and ensuring successful communication and training throughout the business.
  • Support the Health and Wellbeing Manager in delivering Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provisions, including managing contract elements and collaborating on complex cases.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels (senior HR leaders, trade unions, legal experts) to foster a collaborative and motivating work environment.
  • Use service metrics and continuous improvement practices to drive the HR Advisory service forward.
Qualifications and experience
  • CIPD qualified or hold an employment law qualification.
  • Strong track record in people management, casework, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders across the organization, from senior leaders to external partners.
  • Experience applying employment law and managing complex cases with a focus on safety and compliance.
Location and working arrangement

London, Crawley, or Bury St Edmunds offices with the flexibility to blend office and remote working after probation.
