An award-winning architecture practice is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage the full HR function across its studios in the UK and Poland. The successful candidate will support senior management and oversee all employee lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations, and payroll management, within a supportive and inclusive work environment. A CIPD Level 5-7 qualification and proven HR Manager experience in larger businesses are required.

Job description

HR Manager Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Based in Southwark. Office Based - after probation - Hybrid (4 days in the office, Friday working from home).

An award-winning architecture practice is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage the full HR function across its UK and Poland studios.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full HR function, acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and Senior Management Team.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees and managers on all HR matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding.
  • Oversee employee relations matters including performance, absence, grievances, disciplinaries, wellbeing and learning & development.
  • Ensure HR policies, processes and practices are legally compliant and consistently applied across the UK and Poland offices.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, working with agencies and hiring managers.
  • Manage HR administration, employee data, reporting and HR metrics.
  • Oversee monthly UK payroll input and UK benefits administration.
  • Liaise with external partners including payroll, insurers, benefits and recruitment providers.
  • Champion staff wellbeing and contribute to a supportive and inclusive culture.
Experience Required
  • CIPD Level 5-7 qualified.
  • Proven experience in an HR Manager role within a business of 100+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders and operating at SMT/Board level.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, proactive and approachable, with high levels of discretion.
