A reputable Multi-Academy Trust in Birmingham is seeking an HR Assistant to join their team. The role involves providing HR support across multiple schools, managing queries, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, be organised, and have a background in HR or administration. A CIPD qualification is desirable. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop your HR career in a values-driven organisation committed to delivering excellence in education, working closely with schools, leaders, and support staff.

This role is based primarily at the Academy; hybrid working (one day a week from home) can be offered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a competent and consistent HR service across the Trust, supporting daily operations and contributing to the overall success of the HR function.
  • Deliver a confidential and responsive HR administration service, including support with recruitment, onboarding, contract processing, and employee records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, offering accurate and timely advice to staff, leaders, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular on-site support across Academies and the Central Team, helping ensure HR presence and consistency at a local level.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner and wider HR team on project work, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to make a positive impact across multiple schools.

Skills And Qualifications
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality
  • Have experience in HR or administration (school or education sector experience is a plus)
  • Are IT literate with experience using HR systems (or a willingness to learn)
  • Are flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting staff and students alike
  • A CIPD qualification or working towards one is desirable but not essential.
