Overview

Our client, a prestigious Public sector organisation in central London, has a permanent opportunity for an ambitious Human Resources Advisor to join their team.

As HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive advice and support to managers and employees across the full range of employee related issues. You will work closely with the Senior HR Advisor to cultivate strong working relationships, develop line management capability and ensure credible advice is provided in line with employment law, best practice and organisational policies. You will contribute to a varied and busy workload, managing case work such as grievances, disciplinaries, absence management and recruitment consultations. You will also work on the reporting of key metrics, providing data for proactive planning.

Responsibilities
  • Provide credible HR advice to managers and employees across a full range of employee related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage casework including grievances, disciplinaries and absence management.
  • Support recruitment consultations and contribute to workforce planning through data reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Advisor to develop line management capability and ensure alignment with employment law, best practice and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to a busy workload and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
  • Previous generalist HR experience in a busy, professional HR department, within a Public sector setting.
  • Proven experience providing credible HR advice across the full range of employee related issues, including casework.
  • Current or working towards relevant professional qualifications (CIPD or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working on projects with defined outcomes and timescales.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and professional HR issues.
