  • Assist with learning & development initiatives and training delivery.

Overview

HR Advisor

Location: Henstridge

Salary: £35k - £45k - dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week

08:00 - 17:00 (3 days)

05:00 - 14:00 (1 day)

10:00 - 19:00 (1 day)

(Flexibility required to provide HR cover across shifts)

The Role

We are looking for a confident and approachable HR Advisor to join our team at our Templecombe manufactruing facility. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll be the on-site HR presence, with full virtual support from a wider HR team.

You'll take ownership of HR activities including employee relations, recruitment, policy updates and performance management, while also supporting managers with day-to-day people matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone studying towards or already CIPD Level 5 qualified, looking to develop their HR career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries on site.
  • Support with disciplinaries, grievances and welfare meetings.
  • Provide guidance to managers on recruitment and selection.
  • Maintain HR records, systems and documentation accurately.
  • Review and update job descriptions, HR policies and the staff handbook.
  • Support annual people processes including performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Assist with learning & development initiatives and training delivery.
  • Contribute to HR projects and company-wide initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 or 5 CIPD qualified (we are happy to support people with ongoing personal development)
  • Previous HR experience in manufacturing, construction or a similar environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Approachable, confident and able to build relationships at all levels.
  • Keen to learn and develop within a supportive HR team.
