We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to play a key role in supporting our exciting new business win and shaping the success of its start-up phase. Here at GXO, we are currently looking for an HR Advisor to join us at our site in Bracknell (base site). You will provide HR first line guidance to the site management team on HR practice, supporting the HR Manager to deliver the People Plan, support engagement and comms initiatives, resolve employee relations issues, and to develop the correct behaviours and culture according to the GXO Values.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00, with some flexibility required as this opportunity involves regular travel across the Southern regions of the UK, so candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and working across multiple sites.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum (dependant on experience) and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Maintain and update employee records on the HR system, ensuring accuracy
  • Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues, including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement
  • Assist in devising and implementing colleague communication and engagement strategies at site level
  • Upskill managers and assist with payroll processing
  • Contribute to the provision of systematic and effective recruitment, selection and induction processes, involving the recruitment team where appropriate
  • Co-ordinate and manage the HR activity required to ensure that TUPE, redundancy, retention and redeployment activities are executed in line with statutory and company requirements
  • Support a reduction in the potential for costly litigation by conducting regular and effective site HR reviews

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous HR Advisory experience including involvement in solving complex employment law problems, within a logistics background is preferred
  • CIPD Level 5 or above, or working towards is desirable
  • Good use of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • You\'ll need excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence positively, and foster a collaborative, people-focused environment across all levels of the business
