Overview

We are recruiting a Housing Support Worker on behalf of a respected supported housing provider. This is a key role focused on preparing residents for independent living through tenancy support, skills development, and housing guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored tenancy sustainment programmes to vulnerable individuals in a new 32 bed Unit.
  • Support residents with practical life skills and engagement in independent living.
  • Collaborate with housing providers, external agencies, and support services to sign post these individuals to the correct support.
  • Manage housing-related administration including rent and assisting with housing benefits applications.
What we\'d love to see from you
  • Experience in supported housing, tenancy sustainment, or housing management.
  • Knowledge of welfare systems, housing legislation, and safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience of providing tailored support to vulnerable individuals who are at risk of homelessness, suffering with drug and alcohol addiction or mental health issues.
