About the Role

One of my local government clients a Housing Solutions Officer to help prevent homelessness and support vulnerable residents in our community. You will be responsible for conducting initial and detailed assessments, providing tailored housing advice, and making lawful decisions aligned with legislation such as the Housing Act 1996.

Key responsibilities
  • Carrying out initial assessments of individual circumstances.
  • Providing tailored advice to resolve housing difficulties.
  • Confirming council duties to applicants in writing.
  • Continuously reviewing and updating support options.
  • Delivering a full housing solutions service including advice and assistance.
  • Ensuring case facts are verified and decisions are lawful.
  • Managing a manageable caseload effectively.
About You
  • Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
  • Experience in conducting detailed assessments.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach.
  • The ability to work independently and within a supportive team environment.
