On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Housing Reviews Officer to join their team. This role is a key opportunity for a skilled housing professional with a strong background in statutory reviews to make a real impact in delivering fair and timely decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and determine statutory reviews under Section 202 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Prepare clear, robust, and legally sound decision letters.
  • Analyse complex casework and apply relevant housing legislation, case law, and policy.
  • Engage with applicants, legal representatives, and partner organisations in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory timescales and internal performance standards.
  • Support continuous service improvement by identifying trends and best practice.
  • Proven experience in conducting s202 homelessness reviews.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, particularly Parts VI and VII of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, legally compliant decisions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within statutory deadlines.
