DURATION: 3 monthly rolling

Overview

We are looking for 2 Lead Housing Officers (Independent Living & Housing Management) to work on a temporary basis on a 3 monthly rolling arrangement. Hybrid role with 3 days in the office; may be required to attend the office more in the first weeks. 37 hours per week. PAYE rate £21.14 per hour or umbrella rate £27.84 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • To take the lead on behalf of the Council in legal proceedings around tenancy enforcement on all aspects of Housing Management with regards to Independent Living tenancies.
  • To provide supervision, assistance and guidance to the Housing Management Team as a whole around further action to be taken or not taken in an effort to sustain tenancies.
  • To conduct final reviews and analyse individual tenancies, tenants and actions taken in an effort to sustain tenancies and make recommendations to case officers around the next steps to be taken.
  • To assist the Housing Officers (Independent Living) and Independent Living Coordinators where additional informal support is required.
  • To lead and support the delivery of all housing management functions for Independent Living of the Council as far as they affect tenants to achieve the Council's housing objectives and the priorities of the Council.
  • To contribute as a member of a multi-functional team of housing staff to provide a seamless, qualitative and customer focused service.
  • To contribute as a member of the wider team in creating a positive working environment.
  • Lead Officers should have a good knowledge of ASB and tools available to us, and experience of Court and possession processes.
