Qualifications

• Experience in a busy catering environment is essential.
• Ability to concentrate while carrying out repetitive tasks and operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate menu changes and dietary information to staff and patients.
• Delegate tasks to Trainee Chefs and General Assistants.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Skills

Ability to instruct less senior grades of staff

Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks

Ability to work as part of a team

Personal hygiene, clean and tidy

Education

City & Guilds 706 part 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent craft qualification

Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or its equivalent
