Volunteering aims
  • Improve the patient experience by harnessing local talents to make services more responsive to individual patients.
  • Support staff by providing an extra pair of hands and taking on roles that complement and enhance care provided by paid colleagues.
  • Provide opportunities for individual volunteers to learn new skills, meet new people, or give back.

The volunteering programme does not cover individuals interested in short-term work experience or medical placements; these are covered by separate initiatives within the Trust.
