Overview

Enfield Council is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Homeless Housing Coordinator to join their Initial Assessment Team within Housing & Regeneration. This vital role supports the borough’s Early Help strategy, helping residents threatened with homelessness to sustain accommodation or secure suitable housing.

Location: Edmonton Green Library, Enfield Council
Hours: 35 per week | 09:00–17:00
Contract: 13th October – 3 to 6 months
Rate: £22.55 PAYE / £28.30 Umbrella

Responsibilities
  • Conducting initial homelessness assessments and providing expert advice
  • Supporting applicants to access private rented accommodation or sustain current housing
  • Applying knowledge of welfare benefits, housing legislation, and homelessness case law
  • Managing cases involving possession orders, evictions, and safeguarding concerns
  • Contributing to multi-agency working and housing sustainment strategies
