A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a motivated Band 6 midwife for a 1-year role supporting a homebirth service. The midwife will provide personalised and evidence-based care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload, conducting risk assessments, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must have a full driving licence and flexibility to provide care at home, along with excellent communication skills. This position also emphasizes supporting diverse client needs and reducing health inequalities.
Do you have a passion for supporting physiological birth? Do you want to provide unhurried, person‑centred care in the home? Do you have the expertise to provide high quality, safe care? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic band 6 midwife to support our homebirth service for a 1‑year period. The role will be to become part of a friendly, dedicated homebirth team, providing care in the home through the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. You will hold a caseload of women for whom you will be the named midwife throughout the antenatal and postnatal period. You need to hold a full driving licence with access to a car and have the flexibility to provide care in the home setting.
Band 6 midwife with a proven record of delivering high‑quality midwifery care in a community/home‑birth setting. Must have a full driving licence and access to a car. Ability to work day and night shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. Excellent communication skills to enable planning and implementation of individualised, midwifery‑led care in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part‑time workers.
