Overview

Home Instead is the world's leading provider of non‑medical care, support and companionship for older adults. We match trained Care Professionals to the individuals they support, ensuring a consistent, emotionally supportive relationship. All visits last a minimum of 2 hours – a time‑and‑task‑driven visit is not part of our approach. Our team is diverse, local drivers, and all staff are insured. The role allows you to build a predictable schedule with clients, knowing exactly when and where you will be needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support as the primary service.
  • Perform light housework, including cleaning and tidying.
  • Assist with medication prompting.
  • Offer personal care such as bathing, dressing and toileting.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Take clients on outings and provide transport where needed.
Requirements

Kind, compassionate, caring and patient with a person‑centred approach. You should be able to uplift a client’s mood and make them smile. No previous experience required – we provide full training.

Benefits
  • £12.15 – £13.25 per hour for a typical two‑hour visit, £15.00 – £16.10 for a one‑hour visit (most visits are 2 hours).
  • Essential: availability on weekends.
  • Access to suitable transport arrangements.
  • Mileage allowance of 35p – 45p per mile after your first 7 miles of commute.
  • Support through City and Guilds Accredited Dementia, Parkinson’s, End of Life training.
