Contract: Full Academic Year (with a view to permanent contract)

Setting: Alternative Provision Ages 11-16

Are you a passionate and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind are looking for a dedicated HLTA to join a dynamic and supportive alternative provision school in Blackpool, starting as soon as possible.

This full-time role will run for the entire academic year, with a strong possibility of a long-term or permanent contract for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will work across the school supporting pupils aged 11-16 who face significant challenges in mainstream education due to social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for an HLTA who thrives in a fast-paced, pupil-centred environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and support learning activities across a range of subjects
  • Support students with behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Assist in planning and delivering targeted interventions
  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
