Overview

HLTA - Specialist Provision

Location: Disley, Cheshire
Salary: £100 - £150 per day (based on 39 working weeks, dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 39 weeks per year + 6 weeks holiday
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate)

About the Role

Simply Education is proud to be working with a specialist provision supporting pupils aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and communication/sensory difficulties. The setting delivers a holistic and therapeutic curriculum supported by an on-site clinical team, with access to Outdoor Learning, Performing Arts, and vocational pathways.

They are currently seeking a committed and skilled HLTA (Level 4) to join the team and contribute to the pastoral and academic development of learners with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support class teachers with planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons
  • Lead small-group and occasional whole-class teaching when required
  • Deliver pastoral interventions and support emotional regulation
  • Assist in behaviour management, safeguarding, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and support plans in collaboration with the wider team
  • Promote independence, engagement, and inclusion in the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A recognised HLTA qualification (Level 4) or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in an SEN, SEMH or Alternative Provision setting
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A trauma-informed and low-arousal approach to working with young people
  • A calm, resilient and empathetic manner
