A leading NHS organization is seeking an experienced pharmacist for a full-time Band 8a role focused on pharmacy informatics. You will assist with the development and optimization of electronic prescribing systems to support high-quality patient care. Candidates should be experienced in ensuring patient safety and handling clinical systems efficiently. This position may require collaboration across multiple hospital sites within the Trust.
We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Informatics Team in a full-time, permanent Band 8a role. The post is based at the Royal London Hospital and involves Trust-wide optimisation of clinical systems to support efficient and high-quality patient care.
The postholder will assist the Lead Pharmacist, Informatics with the development and optimisation of electronic prescribing within the Trust, in conjunction with the Head of IT Projects and the EPR team. They will support the implementation of new digital medicines initiatives and assist the pharmacy team in developing, validating and maintaining the wider pharmacy digital systems operated by the department. They will provide assurance of the use of electronic medicines management systems across the Trust, working with the Trust’s CCIO and CNIO.
Key responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, security of access, system availability and data accuracy, meeting the requirements of the Trust, its patients and clinical staff. The post holder may be required to work across the Trust at any time, which may entail travel and working at different hospitals.
