Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Northampton

Hours: Part time - 08:30-12:30, Monday to Friday

Start: January 2026

Role and responsibilities

Vision for Education are proud to be working with a welcoming, Ofsted 'good' rated school in Northampton who are looking for an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to cover a staff absence in January 2026. This is a part-time role where you will be required to work 08:30-12:30, Monday to Friday, to cover a Year 6 Maths class and support with lunchtime duties.

Requirements
  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • HLTA qualification (Desired)
  • Experience working as a HLTA within a UK based school (Essential)
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable and able to commit to the role
  • Experience delivering lessons at KS2 level
