St Joseph s Primary School in Ramsbottom is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our warm and welcoming team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across the school and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning in a nurturing, faith-led environment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an HLTA who can:

  • Work effectively across KS1 and KS2, delivering pre-planned lessons and interventions
  • Support the class teacher with classroom management, planning, and assessment
  • Cover PPA sessions and provide occasional whole-class supervision
  • Offer targeted support for pupils, including small group and one-to-one interventions
  • Contribute positively to the spiritual and academic life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the ethos of a Catholic school
