Overview

Teaching Personnel are working closely with schools in the Reading area who are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their supportive teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HLTA, or a qualified teacher looking to take a step back from full classroom responsibility, while still making a meaningful impact on children’s learning.

As a HLTA, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across the school, delivering lessons to whole classes where required.

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to raise attainment.

  • Provide tailored interventions to support progress in literacy, numeracy and other areas.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning activities.

  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils.

  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or be a qualified teacher seeking a different pace and balance.

  • Have proven experience of working effectively with children in a school setting.

  • Be confident leading learning for whole classes as well as supporting smaller groups.

  • Bring energy, patience and strong communication skills.

  • Be passionate about supporting children to reach their potential.
