Job summary

A leading vehicle manufacturer in Inverness is looking for a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and servicing of customer vehicles as well as assisting in diagnostics. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent and have experience in HGV work. Employee benefits include up to 33 days holiday, a £1,000 signing bonus after six months, and a contributory pension scheme.

Job description

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?

What you will do

The Role – some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process
• Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
• Assist with roadside breakdowns
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
• Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
• Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
