Responsibilities

  • Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and choose repair techniques.
  • Maintain and repair vehicles and components independently.
  • Conduct various inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • Mentor less experienced technicians.
  • Perform final checks on completed work.

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Salary: £36,400- £41,600

Shift: Week 1 Monday to Friday 6.00am - 14.30pm, Week 2 Monday to Friday 15.30pm - 12.00am

Type: Permanent

Location: Sutton in Ashfield

We are looking for a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our client one of the UK's leading manufacturers.

Responsibilities
  • You\'ll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • You\'ll work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • You\'ll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • You\'ll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • You\'ll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
  • Valid Driving License
