Job summary

A leading Waste Management company is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a permanent role based at their Trafford Park depot in Manchester. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience in HGV maintenance and repair, and must comply with health and safety policies. Responsibilities include servicing and repairing HGV units, handling breakdowns, and preparing vehicles for MOT. This position offers 40 hours of work per week and includes temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HGV maintenance and repair preferred.
• Fully compliant with all company health and safety policies.
• Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team on larger jobs.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repairs of a range of HGV units and trailers above the minimum standard.
• Breakdown cover out of hours on a rota basis.
• Diagnosing and rectification of vehicle and trailer faults.
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT.
• 6 Weekly inspections.
