A well-established fleet maintenance company in Coventry is seeking an experienced HGV Technician. You will work on an in-house fleet of commercial vehicles, conducting service and maintenance. Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is required.
  • Time served experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Work on an in-house fleet of commercial vehicles.
  • Perform all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections, pre-MOT checks, and necessary repairs.

Skills

Extensive experience as an HGV or PSV Technician
Familiarity with modern commercial vehicles
IRTEC training

Hours: M-F Day shift

HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity

My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company is actively seeking to employ an experienced HGV or PSV Technician for their site in Coventry. You will be working on an internal fleet of commercial vehicles. This is a permanent role with weekly pay.

HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter duties
  • You will be working on an inhouse fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units, trailers, skip loaders and front loaders
  • Working in a well-equipped workshop, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
  • Duties range from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics and everything in between.
  • You will also be required to undertake inspections and pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Qualifications / experience required
  • In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will ideally have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) but time served is also fine
  • You must have extensive experience as an HGV or PSV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
  • IRTEC trained would be beneficial but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
