Overview

HGV Mechanic – Carlisle area

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team, ensuring our customers’ vehicles remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance on customer vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs in compliance with company standards and legislative requirements.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
  • Ensure work is completed to the highest quality, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate vehicle status effectively through the appropriate channels - including escalation, foreman, service reception, and directly with customers.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by dealing with all customers promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies, DVSA inspection standards, MOT legislation changes, and working practices.
  • Service and repair electric vehicles (full training provided where required).
About You
  • Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of DVSA regulations and MOT testing standards is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
