Salary: £38,703.60, standard 45 hr week
Avg. Salary: £45,154.20, average 50 hr per week
Location: Ampthill, Bedford
Days: Monday to Friday 06.00 - 15.30 hrs. or 08.30 to 18.00 hrs.

About You!
- HGV Class 2 Driving Licence is essential.
- HIAB qualification is essential.
- At least 2 years commercial driving experience.
- Good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.
- Customer focused experience and expertise to deliver the role fully.
- Good physical health; role can be physically demanding at times.
- Flexible in approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice.
About the Role!
- Delivering/collecting the company's units and equipment to customers at the right location and time, planning to optimise fuel consumption and driver time.
- Inspecting all units and equipment on collection to ensure it is in good order, recording any visible damage, excess dirtiness, missing items, etc.
- Ensuring all necessary company paperwork is completed correctly to avoid disputes later, e.g., signatures for delivery/collection, damage, or missing plant.
- Driving company vehicles safely, courteously and responsibly, complying with transport regulations, driving hours, and tacograph requirements.
- Operating all lifting equipment safely and in accordance with Company Safety Directives and method statements; loading/unloading plant and equipment following safety practice and method statements; ensuring axle weights are not exceeded.
- Carrying out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting/holding equipment (including straps and chains), recording defects and reporting them to the Foreman/Depot Manager/Fleet Manager.
