Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay) is looking for a full‑time HGV Class 2 Driver for day work based at a busy depot in Newton Abbot. This position is a stable role with regular local deliveries, a friendly team and a clear temp‑to‑perm route.

Pay and hours

• £16.81 per hour PAYE Advanced
• Weekly pay
• Tuesday to Saturday
• Start times between 04:00 and 05:00
• Full‑time hours with no nights out

What The Job Involves

You will deliver goods to local trade customers on a multi‑drop route. The work is steady, and the runs become familiar once you know the round. The typical day‑to‑day tasks include:

• Completing scheduled deliveries to regular customers
• Loading and unloading the vehicle safely
• Checking paperwork, PODs and basic admin
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Supporting the warehouse team when needed

The work is physical at times, so you will need to be confident with manual handling and safe lifting.
