Overview

Are you passionate about improving health and changing lives? We're recruiting a Healthcare Practitioner to join a progressive service in Worcestershire that supports people affected by alcohol and drug use. In this role, you'll combine hands-on healthcare with real social impact — delivering clinical care while helping people take steps towards safer, healthier futures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline health support including assessments, screenings, detox programmes, and wound care
  • Develop safe, tailored care plans in partnership with service users and colleagues
  • Offer harm reduction advice and interventions, from BBV testing to Naloxone provision
  • Work closely with GPs, hospitals, prisons, and other partners to ensure continuity of care
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and young people through robust risk management

  • Background in healthcare, ideally with experience in substance use or complex needs
  • Knowledge of general health issues linked to alcohol and drug use
  • Skilled communicator who can build trust with service users and professionals alike
  • Able to work independently while being an active member of a multidisciplinary team
