Ward 7 is a 23-bedded reablement ward caring for patients who are currently pathway 1 and 2, aiming to reduce their pathway and promote independence. We work closely with therapists and MDT to care for and plan a safe discharge for our patients.
The main duties of a band 2 HCA are to assist the nursing staff in the care of our patient group. The role involves caring for a patient's activities of daily living, nutrition and hydration and continence needs. Also promoting activity and monitoring pressure area care, as well as emotional and psychological support.
