Ward 33 Acute Stroke Unit – Band 2 Health Care Assistant

Ward 33 Acute Stroke Unit are looking for a Band 2 Health Care Assistant. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a kind and caring attitude towards patients, families and colleagues and who will be positive team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in meeting their hygiene needs and carry out all aspects of personal care and grooming, including emptying catheter bags.
• Assist in the prevention of pressure sore development as directed by the Registered Nurse in conjunction with the patient’s plan of care.
• Enable patients to maintain or improve their mobility by use of exercise and mobility appliances as directed by individual care plans.
• Undertake a range of clerical duties in the absence of or in support of the Ward Clerk to ensure a smooth running service.
