A healthcare provider is seeking a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Liverpool. This full-time role involves supporting patients in a prison setting and providing care under the guidance of nursing staff. The position requires an NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, but substance misuse experience is not essential as training will be provided. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Substance Misuse team at HMP Altcourse, a busy Category B male prison in Fazakerley, Liverpool. This crucial role within the Substance Misuse (SMS) team makes a real difference to patients and delivers outstanding care. It offers excellent developmental opportunities and a great environment to build on your experience and gain new skills. Substance Misuse experience is not essential – training will be provided for those with an interest in this area.
Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week – four long shifts per week (7am‑5pm) and one weekend in three.
Salary: £25,557 – £29,723 per annum, depending on experience.
