A medical practice in Hertfordshire is seeking a healthcare assistant (HCA) for a part-time role involving clinical and administrative duties. Cuffley and Goffs Oak Medical Practice is looking for a healthcare assistant (HCA) to join the practice in this vital patient-facing role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The role is offered on a part-time basis, working 16 hours per week as follows:
Monday: 12pm to 6pm
Tuesday: 8.30am to 1.30pm
Wednesday: 9.00am to 2.00pm
You will also be required to take part in the Enhanced Access service on a Monday evening from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. This will be in rotation with other staff from the Nursing/HCA team.
The healthcare assistant role within general practice can be very different to the role within other settings and as such we are only looking for applications from those with previous primary care experience. All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance. The role will also include home visits.
Cuffley and Goffs Oak Medical Practice is a GMS Practice in Hertfordshire with over 13,000 patients. We are based over two sites - Valley View Health Centre (EN7 5ET) and Cuffley Village Surgery (EN6 4JA) just over a mile apart. The successful candidate will be expected to work at either site.
We provide services for approximately 13,500 patients. We have a happy, established team that consists of GPs, nurses and HCAs who are all supported by an experienced and organised admin team. We are also joined regularly by colleagues from our primary care network. We use SystmOne as our clinical system and also utilise Accurx and Footfall to support our processes.
