Westgate Healthcare – Byron House Care Home is looking for a compassionate and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Support our residents with their daily activities, including assisting a resident to wash and dress in the morning, developing their individual care plan and helping them choose and eat their favourite meal.
- Be a friend who our residents can rely on to champion their dignity and independence.
- Support residents to live happy and healthy lives.
- Communicate effectively, take on responsibility, prioritise your workload and keep accurate records.
- Help with other activities such as serving food and helping residents to eat and drink.
- Work in a team, be kind and build strong relationships with our residents, their relatives and team members.
Qualifications
- A caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience of working with the elderly is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
Hours, Salary & Shift Pattern
39 hours per week. Shift pattern: 8am – 8pm / 8pm – 8am. Flexibility required to work both night and day shifts. Shifts available across Monday to Sunday. Job type: Permanent.
